The Role:
We are seeking compassionate and patient Learning Support Assistants to help students with their educational and personal development. In this role, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support and encouragement both in and out of the classroom. You’ll assist pupils in reaching their potential by promoting engagement, building confidence, and helping to overcome barriers to learning.
What we are looking for:
Experience working with children or young people
Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
A positive and proactive attitude to supporting student learning
Nice-to-have:
Experience in a similar LSA or education support role
Knowledge of learning difficulties or disabilities
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
Familiarity with classroom routines and behaviour strategies
Responsibilities:
Support individual students or small groups during lessons
Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Provide encouragement and guidance to students who need extra help
Assist with classroom tasks, preparation, and supervision
Monitor student progress and share observations with teaching staff
Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development
